I met Nancy and Patti, the Apostate Sisters, at BAHACON in August. I gave a brief impromptu talk about CFIC and they liked it so much they invited me to be a guest on their YouTube channel. It was a fun conversation, and I'm pleased with how it came out. This is a great introduction to my views on activism, secularism, Humanism, parenting, changing society, and much more. Enjoy!
A curvaceous female admirer who meets Churchill at the unveiling of his sculpture says: “I got up at dawn and drove a hundred miles for the unveiling of your bust”; Churchill supposedly replies, “Madam, I would happily reciprocate the honour.”
ReplyDeleteAs for what to do about the religious indoctrination of children (all of which l view as child abuse): We can start by removing children born or brought into isolationist cults in which they have no opportunity to engage with the outside mainstream culture. Children's rights trump the religious rights of parents!!! I'm thinking of polygamous cults (Bountiful), Amish/Mennonite communities, and sects such as Lev Tahor... Notice how they all centre around the sexual abuse of girls? Progress has been made to ensure that somewhat-less-isolated religious groups such as the Hassidim are forced to provide children adequate secular educations, and Lev Tahor was raided by the CSA, so what's with the holdup with respect to Christian cults?
