    Suffering is not sentience. Proof? We don't expect non-human animals to show empathy and compassion, because whereas they can feel pain, and many have some level of self-awareness as well as the ability to experience the world subjectively to some degree, they are mostly driven by instinct, not free will, which is needed for real consciousness, even if it's strictly speaking an illusion...

    In any case, l hope Robo sentiens does unto Homo sapiens as the latter has done unto Animalia...
